When many clubs in Indonesia are in the middle of negotiations of trying
to get new players, Vennard Hutabarat actually flew to Hong Kong last
September after last season was over. The midfielder who played for
Jakarta F.C. in LI VI was being signed by a club in that country, who
had just become a new province in China.
"I'm not there to go shopping or anything else. I'm playing for Rangers
FC. They became interested in me after the recommendation given by Instant
Dinct coach who came to Indonesia a few months ago," explained Vennard.
Unfortunately, the 27-year-old was contracted by Rangers FC when there
were only seven matches out fourteen left in the league. "I've always
played as a starter in all the remaining matches. Too bad we failed
to get to the final four. Rangers was ranked sixth when the season ended,"
said Vennard, whom was nicknamed The Key Man when he was still playing
in Rangers.
In the Hong Kong league, the top four teams will play in the playoffs
using half-competition system next year. That's why the former midfielder
of Persija came back to Indonesia last November.
Where do you want to play in LI VII, Ve? I don't know, I'm not sure
yet. I heard that PSPS Pekanbaru is interested in me, but they haven't
made any official contact yet," said the close friend of Michael Pao
last season in Jakarta F.C.
The rumour out there is, not only PSPS Pekanbaru, but also Pelita Solo
is interested this alumnus of Perbanas Jakarta. what about playing for
Persikabo? He denies that option as the boss of that Bogor club is Mirwan
Suwarso of DGMS, his agency. He doesn't want to be accused of collusion.
