The name of Asep Dayat was once famous when he joined the PSSI Primavera team that was sent to compete in Italy. During last season, however, he was almost unheard of after moving from Persib to Persikab. Now that LI VII is upon us, his name suddenly emerges again because he's being bid by three clubs at the same time.

The first club is Persikabo Kabupaten Bogor, who believes that they own Asep because they have his contract letter. But that claim is thwarted by Persikab Kabupaten Bandung, who has claim of option. Lately, Persib Bandung is also in the race of getting this striker, who's commmonly called Jhon.

So what does Asep has to say about this?

"Honestly, I still love Persib. But for this matter, I have to be consequent. Morally, I cannot just leave and break my contract with Persikabo," said Asep firmly.

The problem is, the release letter from Persikabo has not been received yet, and it seems that the Persikabo management delays the letter in purpose. It's even more complicated because the Maung Bandung -- Persib's nickname -- as his old club, threatens to cancel his employment with a government institution in Bandung.

"I'm confused because I still want to play football, and i don't want to lose my job," said the employee of Bandung City Office. Ever since his problem has become media's attention, he has decided to retreat to a serene, cool place of Pangalengan, South Bandung.

Just like most of football players from Bandung, employment in government institution is a top priority for Asep. No wonder he becomes doubtful right away when Persib threatens to annul his employment as a state employee.

This case was not necessary to come out at all had Persib been less arrogant. When his contract with Persikab was up after LI VI was over, Asep had decided to come back to Persib. But because he was getting no response from the management at Persib, he decided to cross city and play for neighboring Persikabo.

"I was raised by Persib. Even I was once disappointed by them, my heart still belong to Persib. But if Persib doesn't need me, why should I stick saround?" said Asep.

Even when Persib's head coach Indra Tohir yells to the management that he wants Asep, no team official makes a reaction. It's no secret that Persib's chairman, Aa Tarmana, doesn't like Asep because he views him as a traitor when he went to play for Persikab.

Even more unique is that when Asep signs with Persikabo, Aa's attitude changes one-hundred eighty degrees. A direct instruction comes from him, telling Asep to come back and play for Persib, and if he doesn't, he'll fire him from the state office.

Looking at this development makes Asep, the husband of Sri Kamelia, doubtful about his future.

"I'm merely a football player who also happens to be a state employee. Please don't cut off my career and future just because of conflicts of importance between clubs," said Asep, in his final and hoping words.
