Rain of goals in Liga Campina

Just like in the first week, the second week (4/1) of Ligana (Children's League) Campina still featured rain of goals in many of its matches. But without a doubt, exciting matches involving top teams are just bound to happen in a near future.

Just to name a few: Bina Pakuan versus Mandala Ganesha and Propelat versus BMU in Bandung area.

"Bina Pakuan is a strong team because they've been around for a long time. But my boys have a high motivation to win," said Agus WS, the head coach of Mandala ganesha.

Another advantage for Mandala is their players have known well the field to be used for the match. The Mandala Ganesha football field is their regular training ground.

But however tight the matches are, young players with above average skills will still shine through. Take Mugi Taufik, for example. The little striker for SSB (Football School) IPI team has twice scored against another strong team SSB Jimmy Martin team. He's predicted to score many more this season.

Other too-close-to-call matches will also happen in Semarang area when Tugu Muda team comes face to face against Putra Mandiri team.

"This is the event where you scout future players with great potentials," said Putra Mandiri's boss Bambang Husodo.

In Jakarta area, bitter match will take place between last year's third-placed Persigawa against PAM Jaya. Unfortunately, the age legality of two Persigawa's players, Taryono and Ridwan, is being questioned by Mutiara Cempaka team who lost to Persigawa 0-3 in the first week.

But Persigawa is quick to defend their players. "Even though they also played last year, their ages have not passed the limit yet," said Persigawa's head coach Al Azhri.

"We're very careful about the age of each player. Ever since last season, we have put tight control over the matter. We require not only school's certificates, but also medical check-ups for each player," said Taufik Jursal Efendi, the head of coordinators for Ligana Campina.
