Pusam recruits Moldovan players March 28, 2001 Putra Samarinda (Pusam), one of the three teams in the Premiership from Kalimantan island, has recruited two new players from Moldova. These two players, Harea George and Tropanet Boris, are replacements for the two German brothers, John and Delano Ketter, who have been released by the club. According to the club's managing director Erwin Dwi Budiawan in Samarinda, those two foreign legions will play as striker and attacking midfielder. "We trust their qualities, because they came highly recommended by PKT Bontang's head coach, Sergei Dubrovin. They will arrive in Samarinda on Friday (3/30)," said Erwin. Erwin continued saying that the addition of the two players will hopefully lift Pusam's position in the standing in the second half of the season. George and Boris will not be given long-term contracts, but rather month-to-month contracts. But it their performances are excellent, then it's very possible the club will tie them up in long-term contracts. "The value of their contracts and salaries will be negotiated after they arrive in Samarinda," said Erwin. Erwin also said that the club actually wanted to sign Khamid, formerly of PSBL Bandar Lampung. But they were just a little bit too late, because Khamid already signed with First Division outfit PS Krakatau Steel. Furthermore, to improve Yance Katehokang and co.'s performance in the second half of the season, Pusam has also loaned two players from their city rival PKT Bontang. Those two players are Rochmad and Yudho Prasetyo. They've already joined Pusam's camp and started practicing together with the rest of the team. "Even though there's a break right now between first and second half of the season, the team is still training hard. We want to be ready and do better for the remaining of the season," said Erwin. from www.sepak-bola.tv
